Humans are fascination-driven creatures who are grounded by their drive for curiosity and knowledge. But, unfortunately, this often comes at the cost of disillusionment and naivety till the lustre of their creations fades off, and things come into view.

Our latest fascination, Artificial Intelligence and its subsidiaries, have taken the world by storm. Like the discoveries of the telegraph and the telephone, Artificial Intelligence is setting a new precedent for how we interact and experience the world around us; this ever-growing thirst for ease and utility is getting quenched in the process. But we seldom take a seat and question the amount of trust and the groundswell of interest we see within these spaces. The applications and accessibility of such technology are only growing the constant urge for surplus even during financial unrest and recession.

The economy slowly grows encumbered by the burden of carrying the immense and often false promises we see within the tech and consumer spaces. Artificial Intelligence is a massive bearer of this notion, with realms such as the job market and industry being affected. The idea that Artificial Intelligence is working for the benefit of those who created it is not only delusional but also flawed. The consideration of the fact that essential markets and the commercial success on which our race depends could be caught in the crossfire of the conflation of socio-political advancement, and change is rarely made and a question we should find the time to ponder.

The state of the world is quite fragile yet deliberate. Our actions and decisions often impact our perception of the world; only we have that power, and it’s about time we realise that. So let’s not cruciate circumstances and possibility: a toxic fuel that rekindles the fire of our unfortunate past decisions. Instead, let’s try to perpetuate the process of positivity and optimism through the lens of modern society and take back control of what’s truly ours.

Thank you for your time; this is me both artificially and intelligently signing off!
